Caulfield to Dandenong Level Rail Crossing Removal

I played a key role in the design of Melbourne’s transformative $1.6 billion Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project, the largest infrastructure initiative in Victorian history. As part of the WSP Specialist Lighting team, I collaborated closely with multidisciplinary partners to develop the lighting for five new elevated railway stations.

Five stations, one strategy

My contributions helped shape the lighting strategy across all five stations, enhancing safety, functionality and aesthetics together rather than in sequence. These are significant public spaces in their own right, and the strategy had to hold consistently along the length of the corridor.

Recognition

The project received an Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Commendation in 2019.
