EY Wavespace, Sydney

EY wavespace Sydney is an innovation hub created to foster creative thinking and collaborative problem-solving. I was part of the WSP Australia team that developed the lighting design, working alongside the wider project team to support how the space is actually used day to day.

Lighting for collaborative workspace

The premise behind wavespace is breaking down silos, bringing a diverse range of stakeholders together on a regular basis for continuous, collaborative innovation. The lighting had to serve that directly: comfortable enough to sustain long working sessions, adaptable across the different ways the space is occupied, and quiet enough that attention stays on the work and the people in the room.

The result supports both screen-based work and face-to-face discussion in the same setting, while giving the hub a clear identity of its own within the wider EY workplace.
