Ward Oval, NSW

I played a key role in the design and execution of the Ward Oval lighting upgrade in Cobar, New South Wales, working at VAILO alongside REES Electrical and the Cobar Shire Council to elevate the functionality and quality of lighting across grounds that serve a range of local sports organisations.

New poles across three surfaces

Unlike a retrofit, this project set out the structure from the beginning. Working with GM Poles and REES Electrical, we designed and positioned all new poles: four 15-metre poles for the netball courts, four 30-metre poles for the main field, and four 25-metre poles for the secondary field.

84 luminaires, above 200 lux

A total of 84 VAILO Zenith Gen-V 1500 W luminaires were installed across the grounds, providing consistent illumination in excess of 200 lux and supporting a diverse programme of sporting events on all three surfaces.
